Ostankino Tower in Moscow

Ostankino Tower in Moscow

Ostankino tower is one of the best places to visit in Moscow. It’s a 540m tall television and radio tower that seems to be from another planet. In fact, it used to be the tallest structure in the world. The highest floor is 360m tall and it has a glass floor that is really scary… It’s far from the center and not easy to access (except by taxi). In my opinion, worth a visit if you spend more than 3 days in Moscow.

Helikon Opera, best small theatre in Moscow

Helikon Opera is also one of the best places to visit in Moscow. Among all the theaters in the city, this is the one I prefer the most. It’s a tiny theatre close to the Kremlin, managed by young, original and talented artists. However, the tickets can bee expensive and hard to find. Usually, the 250 seats are always full. I recommend the KaffeeKantate: a wonderful 40 minute Bach cantate while they serve you an excellent coffee.

Best outlets in New York (NYC)

If you are looking for the best outlets in New York (NYC), I’d recommend you two options:

Woodbury Premium Outlet: A nice multi-brand outlet 1,5h drive from NYC (you can rent a car or take a bus). Although it’s expensive and uncomfortable to get there, nice to be there, I think it’s worth it (but only if you plan to buy things and really shop).

Century 21: A huge building at ground zero. It’s easy to get to but a little difficult to find the stuff you might be looking for.  You can find almost everything at a great price but you have to be very patient and hunt for it. This option is probably a love or hate sort of place…if you like hunting for a bargain you’ll love it, if you just want to get in and out, you’ll hate it.

The free 25 minute ferry to Staten Island is an awesome opportunity to see the best view of Manhattan’s downtown. The ferry departs every 20 min and goes really close to the Statue of the Liberty. The best part is there’s no waiting in line and its free!.

In my opinion museums are usually overwhelming. But Frick’s Collection is an exception. In my opinion, is the best small museum in New York, a small oasis of peace in a gorgeous building (high ceilings, huge rooms, wooden walls, and garden courtyards) and with premium European painting.

P.J. CLARKE’S
A restaurant with dark wood paneling, a jukebox, a little noisy, good beer… and excellent burgers!

BURGER JOINT (Le Parker Meridien Hotel)
“The hidden burger”. Located inside a 5 star hotel this amazing tiny burger shop has possibly the best burgers in town. Tip: I like to buy my burger and then eat it in Central Park (three blocks away)
